Jim Matsuoka is a founding member of NCRR and served for ten years as it's treasurer. He has been a longtime community activist, a founding member of the Pioneer Project, the Manzanar Committee, Asian American Studies at California State University, Los Angeles and was involved with the Little Tokyo People's Rights Organization and the Little Tokyo Redevelopment Agency. Most of all, he is remembered for the fighting spirit he showed during his strong and emotional testimony at the 1981 Commission on Wartime Relocation and Internment Hearings |
